Frequently Asked Questions

ARE CHILDREN INVITED?

While we love your little ones, our wedding weekend will be an adults-only celebration. We kindly ask that you make childcare arrangements in advance and appreciate your understanding.

SHOULD I RENT A CAR?

We do not recommend renting a car during your stay in San Miguel de Allende. The streets throughout town are narrow and can be difficult to navigate, and parking is limited. San Miguel is best explored on foot, and taxis and private drivers are readily available when needed.

For transportation from the airport to San Miguel, please visit the Transportation page for our recommended transfer options.

WHAT KIND OF SHOES SHOULD I PACK?

San Miguel de Allende is known for its beautiful cobblestone streets, so comfortable and practical footwear is a must! We recommend packing comfortable walking shoes for exploring town and keeping the cobblestones in mind when selecting shoes for wedding weekend events.

For women, block heels, wedges or flats will be much easier to navigate than stilettos.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE WEEKEND?

Inspiration for dress codes for each celebration can be found on the Attire Page. For Thursday evening, we invite guests to embrace Hacienda Cocktail Chic, with pink outfits preferred. Friday's poolside celebration is Poolside Chic, and Saturday's wedding is Black Tie.

CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?

Due to the intimate nature of our celebrations, we are only able to accommodate the guests formally included on your invitation.

Thank you for understanding!

ARE ALL GUESTS INVITED TO EVERY EVENT?

Please refer to your invitation for the events to which you are invited. The Thursday evening rehearsal dinner is by invitation only, followed by the welcome party for all guests.

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

We have arranged accommodations at Rosewood San Miguel and NUMU Boutique Hotel. Please visit the Accommodations page for booking information and reservation deadlines. We encourage booking accommodations early, as San Miguel is a popular destination and availability can become limited.

HOW SHOULD I GET AROUND SAN MIGUEL?

San Miguel's historic center is very walkable, and many of the restaurants, shops and sights you'll want to visit are within walking distance of one another. Taxis and private drivers are also readily available for destinations farther away. Keep in mind that San Miguel's charming streets are often cobblestoned and hilly, so allow a little extra time when getting around!

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE IN SAN MIGUEL?

We recommend arriving with plenty of time to settle in before the weekend's festivities begin on Thursday evening. If your schedule allows, arriving a day early is a wonderful opportunity to explore San Miguel and enjoy some of our favorite spots around town.

WHAT SHOULD I DO DURING MY FREE TIME?

We hope you'll take some time to experience San Miguel! We've put together a curated list of our favorite restaurants, bars, shops and experiences on the Things to Do page.
